I’m currently supporting a client with a senior Business Development Manager / Sales Executive hire in the Gulf region.
This is a strategic, relationship-led role focused on selling defence, cyber, and national security capability into government, defence, law enforcement, intelligence, and wider security environments.
The client is looking for someone who understands complex government sales, long procurement cycles, stakeholder mapping, and relationship-building across defence and national security accounts. This is not a short-term, fly-in/fly-out sales role. The successful person will need to be based permanently in-region and build long-term relationships on the ground.
The role will focus on high-value solutions across areas such as:
•Electronic Warfare
•Counter-UAV
•Intelligence solutions
•Cybersecurity
•C4ISR / defence technology
•Cyber ranges
•Wider defence, government, and national security capability
Key Responsibilities
•Drive direct and channel-led sales across defence, government, law enforcement, intelligence, and national security accounts
•Build and manage a strong pipeline of long-cycle, high-value opportunities
•Develop strategic account plans and go-to-market approaches aligned to government procurement cycles
•Build relationships with senior stakeholders across MoD, MoI, security agencies, system integrators, prime contractors, and partner channels
•Lead or support RFP, RFI, tender, and procurement responses alongside technical and delivery teams
•Represent the business at defence exhibitions, industry forums, government briefings, and client meetings
•Work closely with internal product, technical, marketing, and delivery teams to align solutions with client requirements
What We’re Looking For
•7+ years’ B2B sales / business development experience within defence, cyber, government, national security, or closely related technical markets
•Proven experience selling complex solutions into government, defence, law enforcement, intelligence, or security environments
•Strong understanding of government procurement, long sales cycles, partner ecosystems, and multi-stakeholder decision-making
•Background in defence technology, cyber solutions, intelligence platforms, C4ISR, cyber range solutions, Electronic Warfare, Counter-UAV, or related capability areas
•Existing relationships across the GCC, MoD, MoI, law enforcement, intelligence, security agencies, or government cyber / IT departments would be highly advantageous
•Strong commercial awareness and ability to structure complex deals
•Comfortable operating at both senior stakeholder and technical / operational level
•Excellent communication skills in English
•Willing and able to relocate permanently to the Gulf region
