Former CISO – Executive Cybersecurity Trainer & Speaker

About the Role

We are looking for an accomplished former CISO to deliver high-level cybersecurity workshops, executive briefings, and talks.

This is not a traditional technical trainer position. We are looking for someone with genuine experience leading cybersecurity at an organizational level, combined with strong executive presence and the ability to command a room.

The right person will be an engaging and confident speaker who can turn complex cybersecurity challenges into practical, memorable discussions supported by real-world experience.

Key Responsibilities

•Deliver engaging workshops, keynote talks, and executive briefings on cybersecurity leadership and strategy.

•Share practical insights and lessons from real experience as a CISO.

•Lead sessions on topics such as cyber risk, security governance, incident leadership, board communication, security culture, and building effective cybersecurity programs.

•Facilitate cybersecurity crisis simulations and executive tabletop exercises.

•Adapt sessions for different audiences, including executives, government representatives, board members, security leaders, and cybersecurity professionals.

•Develop new workshop content, case studies, and executive training programs.

•Represent the organization professionally at academies, conferences, client events, and other public engagements.

•Encourage audience participation and confidently manage questions and discussions.

Requirements

•Previous experience as a CISO, Deputy CISO, or equivalent senior cybersecurity leader within a recognized organization.

•Strong understanding of cybersecurity strategy, governance, risk management, regulatory requirements, and incident response.

•Excellent public-speaking and workshop-facilitation skills.

•Strong executive presence, confidence, and the ability to engage and influence senior audiences.

•Ability to explain complex cybersecurity issues clearly, practically, and without unnecessary technical language.

•Comfortable speaking on stage and addressing both small executive groups and large audiences.

•Fluent English and willingness to travel internationally when required.

Preferred Qualifications

•Previous experience delivering keynote talks, executive workshops, or conference presentations.

•Experience advising boards, senior management, government organizations, or large enterprises.

•Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are an advantage, but do not replace practical CISO experience.

•Published articles, conference appearances, or other recognized cybersecurity thought leadership would be beneficial.
