Cloud Engineer / AI & Cloud Innovation Consultant

Location: Bologna, Italy
Duration: Until end of 2026 – with the potential to turn into a full time permanent role

Working Model:

• 100% on-site in Bologna for the first 3 weeks

• Then hybrid (minimum ~50% on-site presence      expected)

Overview

We are supporting a client looking to hire a Cloud Engineer to join a multidisciplinary innovation team focused on cloud transformation, AI experimentation, and the development of agentic AI solutions.

This role sits closely with both technical and business stakeholders, acting as a technical advisor and sparring partner around AI strategy, prototyping, and adoption across different application contexts.

• Rapid prototyping of new AI capabilities

Key Responsibilities

• Support the evolution of cloud infrastructure      alongside the internal IT function

• Define technical direction for innovative AI and      cloud-based initiatives

• Design and prototype AI Agent solutions and      LLM-driven workflows

• Develop Python libraries and cloud-native      applications

• Act as a technical advisor around AI use cases,      process design, and solution architecture

• Support internal stakeholders with AI adoption and      innovation initiatives

Required Experience

• Approx. 3–5 years’ experience in cloud engineering      / cloud development environments
      (more junior profiles may also be considered)

• Strong AWS experience including services such as:

  • Lambda

  • API Gateway

  • EKS

  • S3

  • Bedrock

  • CloudWatch

  • SageMaker

• Python development experience

• Experience with DevOps practices including:

  • CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins)

  • Terraform / Infrastructure as Code

  • Gitflow

• Exposure to AI solution design, LLM integration, or      AI workflow orchestration

• Strong communication skills with the ability to      operate in a consultative/advisory capacity

Nice to Have

• Azure exposure

• Databricks

• Experience with Claude / Claude Code / AI copilots

• Previous consulting or innovation-lab environments

Additional Notes

• Client is based outside Milan

• Full-time preferred

• Part-time may be considered, though likely      requiring increased on-site presence
