Contract Type:
UK-based | Remote/flexible | London or Manchester ideal
I’m supporting a well-funded legal AI business that is hiring an Employment Disputes / Legal AI Growth Lead to help drive adoption across the UK employment law market.
This is not a traditional legal role, and it is not a generic software sales role.
The business is looking for someone who understands employment disputes from the inside, ideally from a respondent/employer-side, volume employment law, employment consultancy, in-house legal, or senior ER/HR disputes background, and can speak credibly with senior legal, HR, and operational stakeholders.
Employment disputes teams are under increasing pressure from tribunal backlogs, rising claim volumes, disclosure demands, and the need to manage case work more consistently and efficiently.
The role is focused on helping customers understand how AI can improve repeatable employment disputes workflows, particularly where there is volume, documentation, disclosure, evidence review, settlement work, and tribunal preparation.
This person will have real ownership of the employment disputes market, helping shape messaging, customer engagement, product feedback, pricing insight, and the wider sector playbook.
The focus
You will work with senior stakeholders across:
•Respondent-side employment law firms
•In-house legal and HR teams
•Employment consultancies and outsourced HR advisory businesses
•Organisations managing high-volume tribunal or employment disputes work
The core value proposition is efficiency, supported by stronger assurance, consistency, auditability, human verification, and scalable case handling.
What you’ll be doing
•Leading senior customer conversations from initial engagement through to adoption
•Helping legal, HR, and operational stakeholders understand the commercial value, efficiency gains, and P&L impact of AI-led workflow improvement
•Mapping the platform to real employment disputes processes, including tribunal preparation, disclosure, evidence management, documentation review, and settlement workflows
•Building trust around data sensitivity, assurance, risk control, auditable outputs, and human verification
•Shaping sector messaging, customer engagement strategy, and market positioning with the senior leadership team
•Feeding market insight back into product, proposition, and go-to-market strategy
•Acting as a credible domain expert rather than a transactional salesperson
What we’re looking for
You will likely have experience in one or more of the following:
•Employment law practice, ideally respondent/employer-side
•Volume employment disputes or tribunal-heavy environments
•Employment consultancy or outsourced HR advisory work
•In-house employment advisory, ER, or HR disputes leadership
•High-volume case handling involving unfair dismissal, discrimination, whistleblowing, TUPE, disclosure, evidence management, and settlement
You’ll likely bring around 8+ years’ experience across employment law, employment advisory, HR disputes, or tribunal-heavy environments.
A major part of the role will be helping customers get comfortable with AI in sensitive employment disputes environments, including questions around GDPR, employee records, auditability, evidence grounding, and human review.
You do not need to be an AI expert, but you do need to be genuinely interested in how AI can improve real employment law workflows.
The ideal profile
This would suit someone who is:
•Credible with employment partners, GCs, HRDs, and operational leaders
•Commercially minded and comfortable discussing value, ROI, efficiency, and adoption
•Strong enough technically/domain-wise to challenge, advise, and build trust
•Interested in transformation rather than simply advising on cases
•Comfortable working in a fast-moving, senior-led environment
•Able to open senior conversations through insight, not cold product pitching
•Well-networked across employment law, HR, employee relations, or employment advisory
Compensation
•£100,000 - £120,000 base salary
•Performance-linked bonus structure
•Flexible UK location, with London or Manchester preferred
•Opportunity to join a funded business at an early growth stage
Why this role is interesting
Employment disputes teams are under pressure to handle more work, faster, with better consistency and stronger controls.
This role sits at the point where employment law expertise, operational improvement, and AI adoption meet. It is a strong fit for someone who understands the pain points of employment disputes work and wants to help shape how the sector handles repeatable, document-heavy, high-volume matters more efficiently.
