Engineering Team Lead – AI Platform

We are looking for a hands-on Engineering Team Lead to lead and grow a team of software engineers developing an advanced AI and data platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead an initial team of around 5 software engineers and help build the wider team.

• Stay hands-on with development, architecture and technical decision-making.

• Design and build AI/LLM applications and agentic workflows.

• Develop production systems using Python, React and TypeScript.

• Lead cloud architecture and deployment across AWS.

• Work with Amazon Bedrock and modern AI/agent orchestration technologies.

• Mentor engineers and drive engineering standards and delivery.

Requirements

• Around 5 years of engineering leadership/management experience.

• Strong hands-on software engineering background.

• Excellent Python and React/TypeScript skills.

• Strong AWS experience.

• Proven experience delivering AI/LLM solutions into production.

• Experience with Amazon Bedrock and/or agentic AI frameworks is highly desirable.

• Professional-level English is essential.

Experience within defence, intelligence, national security or large-scale data/AI platforms would be advantageous.
