Lead Auditor – Cyber Security & Information Assurance
Location: Remote, UK based with travel to client sites as required (4 days remote per week)
Engagement Type: Permanent or Contract, full time

We are supporting the growth of a specialist cyber and information assurance practice and are seeking experienced Lead Auditors to deliver high level security and compliance assessments across Defence and wider Government environments.
This role will focus on leading structured cyber assurance reviews aligned to nationally recognised frameworks and Defence related certification schemes. Engagements will support central Government departments and other sensitive environments, ensuring robust security governance and regulatory adherence in line with current UK cyber resilience priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end to end cyber assurance and compliance assessments across public sector and Defence clients
Direct and oversee audit activity, ensuring findings are clearly evidenced, risk rated and formally reported
Provide practical recommendations to strengthen security posture and governance controls
Engage senior stakeholders and present outcomes in a clear, commercially aware manner
Maintain awareness of evolving UK regulatory, assurance and risk frameworks
Experience & Background
Strong Information Assurance and Information Security risk background
Proven delivery experience within Defence MoD and or regulated environments including CNI and HMG
In depth knowledge of NCSC CAF and related Government assurance models
Recognised auditing qualification such as ISO 27001 Lead Auditor or equivalent
Demonstrable experience leading audit teams and managing client relationships
Additional Requirements
Active UK SC clearance as a minimum is essential, DV highly desirable
UK sole nationals only due to the sensitivity of the work
Ability to travel to client sites where required
