About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Manual QA Engineer to help ensure the quality and reliability of a growing technology platform.

You will work closely with the product and engineering teams, developing a strong understanding of the platform, carrying out structured and exploratory testing, and identifying issues before they reach customers.

The role also includes API-level testing, so experience with tools such as Postman is important.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of the product, user journeys and potential failure points.

• Carry out functional, regression and exploratory testing.

• Create clear and reusable manual test cases and QA procedures.

• Identify, document and track defects with clear reproduction steps.

• Work with developers to investigate issues and validate fixes.

• Contribute to improving QA processes and defining quality standards as the product evolves.

• Test APIs and validate responses and application behaviour.

• Consider edge cases, unexpected user behaviour and potential usability issues.

Essential Experience

• Proven hands-on experience in manual software testing.

• Strong understanding of functional, regression and exploratory testing approaches.

• Experience creating structured test cases and QA documentation.

• Strong attention to detail and an ability to identify edge cases.

• Ability to understand a product quickly and build detailed knowledge of how it works.

• Clear written communication, particularly when documenting defects and test results.

Desirable

• Experience with Jira, TestRail, Xray or similar tools.

• Exposure to test automation such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium or API automation.

• Experience using Postman for API testing.

• Basic SQL/database knowledge.

• Understanding of REST APIs and API documentation.

• Experience testing cloud-based applications, such as AWS environments.
