Overview
A rapidly expanding cyber and AI workforce solutions provider is seeking a SLED Sales Director to lead growth across State Government, Local Government and Higher Education.
This is a priority hire within the US go to market function, built specifically for the American market. The successful candidate will own regional strategy, develop executive relationships and drive revenue across Midwest states.
The role reports directly to the US VP of Operations.
About the Organisation
The business operates at the intersection of national security, workforce development and advanced cyber and AI technologies, delivering scalable solutions that strengthen resilience across government and enterprise environments.
The US division was launched approximately eighteen months ago following a strategic decision to tailor a unified product suite specifically for State and Higher Education buyers.
US Division Focus

• Sales motion: Organic marketing and strong in person engagement

The current US team consists of five people, including leadership.
Products and Services
The organisation delivers an integrated AI driven cybersecurity education and resilience ecosystem designed for State and Higher Education environments. The portfolio includes:
• AI native learning and assessment platforms covering Cyber, AI, Coding and Data, with adaptive learning paths, hands on labs and executive level reporting
• Cyber awareness and human risk management solutions, including AI generated phishing simulations and enterprise or on prem deployment options
• Immersive cyber range and live fire simulation environments aligned to recognised frameworks such as NIST and MITRE
• Full workforce development programmes, including academic pathways, professional training and certification aligned curricula
The solutions are designed to support large scale capacity building, institutional modernisation and long term cyber resilience initiatives.
The Role
The SLED Sales Director will:
• Lead sales activity across State, Local and Education sectors
• Develop and execute a Midwest focused go to market strategy
• Own pipeline creation and strategic account development
• Build relationships with Education Departments, CIO offices and procurement stakeholders
• Drive net new revenue and expand existing accounts
• Represent the organisation at in person meetings and sector events
• Present a structured 30 60 90 day plan during interview
• Deliver a formal go to market strategy presentation
This role is considered a priority hire.
Candidate Profile
Essential:
• American national
• Experience selling into SLED environments
• Proven track record in cyber training, cyber education, workforce development or adjacent security markets
• Strong Midwest network across State or Higher Education
• Comfortable with frequent travel
Highly desirable:
• Experience with cyber training providers, cyber range platforms or awareness solutions
• Experience presenting strategic sales plans to executive leadership
• Understanding of State level procurement cycles
Compensation
• Base salary: 85,000 to 125,000 USD
• On target earnings approximately double base
• Performance driven structure
